Make a valuable contribution

DirectID is a growing company, and we recognise we're not just building world-class products, we're also seeking to build a world-class team and a set of sustainable development practices that will continue to deliver value as we scale. We believe that the best work comes from cross-functional, self-organising, and diverse teams that take ownership of their processes and practices.

As DirectID’s Lead Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring our products are built in the right way. Our development teams are cross functional Scrum teams, you’ll be the most senior engineer within a growing matrixed structure, working across multiple teams.

You’ll be expected to guide the development of our engineers and take on managerial responsibly. You’ll be the engineering voice within the Leadership Team and you’ll be instrumental in shaping the team as we grow.

We’re a small team so there will be plenty of opportunity to continue to be a hands-on engineer.

Our products harness the power of cutting-edge Open Banking APIs and include a React front-end to allow users to share their banking data with lenders to enable quicker lending decisions, and a set of RESTful web APIs written in C# using the latest .NET Core framework to let the lenders access that data.  You’ll need experience in these technologies as you’ll be the go-to person for our engineers when they need guidance.
